Sometimes, when it comes to children, even the most "uncomplicated" holiday in terms of the menu like Shavuot becomes tricky. Pies with vegetables? Who eats zucchini or mushroom pie? All kinds of salads with cheeses? do me a favor Sometimes you have to go for the simplest available, and the tastiest available. Such are these pizza rolls.

These are soft rolls that, while rolling the dough, are filled with a filling of tomato sauce, cheese and olives. You can prepare in advance and they keep wonderfully. Excellent also for dinner or a picnic and even for school every day, instead of the generic sandwich.

Preparation

How do you make pizza rolls?

1. Place all the dough ingredients in the mixer bowl in the order they appear (salt and oil at the end) and mix until a uniform and slightly sticky dough is obtained. Cover with plastic wrap and let it rise for at least an hour and a quarter, or until it doubles in volume.

2. Divide the dough into 6 or 7 equal parts. Roll each part, spread tomato sauce, sprinkle cheese and olives or another addition.

3. Fold the dough once on each side and close into a strip. Cut the strip and roll each half into a snail-shaped roll - a total of 12-14 rolls. Place in a pan lined with baking paper and let rise for at least half an hour, or until the buns are puffed up.

4. In the meantime, heat the oven to 190 degrees. After the buns have risen, brush with egg and bake them for about half an hour until nicely golden. Pick up one of them to make sure the bottom is baked properly. In order to know that there is no doughy and unbaked cavity left, tap on it. If there is a sound, they are ready.

5. Allow the buns to cool before eating. You can reheat a little before serving.
