Small, salty pretzels coated with sesame and salt like grandma's, but in an even healthier and tastier version.

Rinat Tzadok, mother and recipe developer, accompanies parents in revitalizing the home kitchen and helps make the healthy food also tasty, especially for the children. She makes these small, addictive cookies from whole spelled flour.

Whole spelled flour is rich in nutritional values, has a different gluten composition, and easily replaces white flour in many recipes. So if you and the kids like to snack on pretzels, it's time to put the industrial versions aside and make your favorite salty pastries yourself, and preferably with the kids too. It's much simpler than you think and certainly more fun. Don't forget to serve with fresh cut vegetables on the side.

Preparation

How do you make sesame pretzels from spelled flour?

1. Put the water in a mixing bowl and dissolve the yeast in it.

2. Add flour, olive oil, salt, maple and baking soda.

3. Using a whisk, mix to a uniform mixture, cover and set aside for 5 minutes. In the meantime, heat the oven to 165 degrees and line two pans with baking paper.

4. Fill a piping bag halfway with the mixture and using scissors cut the tip into a tiny hole. Sprinkle rings or sticks.

5. Sprinkle Atlantic sea salt and sesame seeds and bake for 15-20 minutes.
