Assuta-Ashdod Public Medical Center allowed in an unusual visitor to comfort and improve the health of a patient who was nearly murdered in the rave party in the south last Shabbat - her four-legged friend, her little black dog. The victim of the massacre had been admitted to the hospital's intensive care unit in critical condition.
After her condition miraculously improved and stabilized, she was transferred to the orthopedic department for further treatment.
To make her feel even better, her family members asked permission to bring in her beloved dog, as the pet would surely raise her spirits.
The request was approved by the hospital administration, doctors and nurses, and - to everyone's joy - with the arrival of the dog, the patient's condition improved even more.
Her family members said: "There is no doubt that being rejoined with her dog greatly contributed to the improvement of her condition. It's amazing that in the face of the reality and the burden placed on the hospital these days, they found time to look into our request and find a way to carry it out."
