State television showed some protesters carrying bundled white shrouds symbolizing the children killed in Gaza, during the nationwide marches, held ahead of World Children's Day on Monday.
"President Raisi will attend the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation' (OIC) summit in Riyadh, where the issue of Palestine will be discussed," the Iranian website reported.

Sardar Abolfazl Shekarchi accused the United States of oppressing the Middle East and of murdering hundreds of millions of people.
“All of America’s enemies in the region are consulting and getting closer, and the day may come when they join the war together, and turn America into a thing of the past,” the Hamas official said.
The US issued a second round of sanctions aimed at Hamas following the October 7 attack, including a Hamas official in Iran and members of the IRGC.
Top officials from Iran and Gaza’s terror rulers also spoke by telephone at least four times this year.
