Anderson Lee Aldrich, 24, has already been sentenced to life in prison after pleading guilty to state murder charges in a separate prosecution last year for the attack on Club Q in Colorado Springs.
Over these past few years, antisemitism has been on the rise in Canada, with Jews some of the most likely to be victims of hate crimes. Since October 7, this hatred has come fully to the surface.
The report also showed that 45% of the reported hate crimes in 2023 were motivated by religious bias.

The conference featured various speeches and panels by European leaders, and focused on combating antisemitism and future actions that need to be taken to protect European Jewry.

“The rising tide of hate is abhorrent and unacceptable, and I’m committed to doing everything in my power to keep New Yorkers safe,” Hochul said in January.
"I am doing fine, recovering very quickly ... there is no need to be worried or concerned," Bishop Mar Mari Emmanuel said in an audio message posted on social media.
