Tim Walz is a Democratic politician in the US and is the current governor of Minnesota. He was also selected to be Kamala Harris's vice presidential nominee for the 2024 US presidential elections.

Critics of the effort called it antisemitic, but Shapiro told the Jewish Telegraphic Agency that antisemitism was not a factor in Harris’ decision to choose Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz over him.
As the DNC begins, Harris and Walz must affirm their commitment to Israel while addressing the growing divide within the party over the Israel-Hamas conflict.
With the DNC underway, this letter urges Harris and Walz to reinforce their pro-Israel position and demand the immediate release of 115 hostages held by Hamas.
Walz had cautioned against exercises like the one Ihrig used, which was called the “Gestapo Game” and was a trademarked activity conducted in settings around the world.
Harris and Trump are scheduled to debate on Sept. 10 on ABC News.
After Walz was selected as the Democratic vice presidential candidate, Jewish leaders in the state praised his interactions with the community, including his support for Israel.
