This explosive development could change the entire nature of the media bribery and fraud trial against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Former President Donald Trump on Tuesday filed a US Supreme Court brief in his bid for immunity from prosecution for trying to overturn his 2020 election loss.

A former friend of main suspect Christian Brueckner, Manfred Seyferth, recounted seeing a video in which Brueckner assaulted the three-year-old girl.

The requests noted Trump's "longstanding history of attacking witnesses, investigators, prosecutors, judges and others involved in legal proceedings against him."

Trump has pleaded not guilty to the charges. He has pressed for the case to be dismissed, arguing that state laws do not apply to federal elections.

Carroll's case has become an issue in Trump's campaign to retake the White House in the November election.

US District Judge Lewis Kaplan this month ruled that the former president may not tell the jury he did not rape Kaplan.

Before the trial, the former president had requested the right to deliver his own closing remarks, but the judge demanded that Trump agree to stay on topic.

The state must see the victims and consider their needs at every stage and decision. This is not only a legal obligation but also a moral and societal one.
